What's New in March 2019...

Phew, what a busy month it's been!

World Book Week was such a fantastic experience. The children's (and teacher's) costumes were just awesome. The children engaged so well and appeared to really enjoy the book readings. I feel I have inspired a few young writers. Please have a look at my World Book Week page for photos and other stuff that happened.

As soon as World Book Week was over it was up to Edinburgh for the 6 Nations rugby. What a hoot!

I am pleased to say that I have finally finished my second book, 'The Grumpy Gnome Goes on Holiday'. Many thanks to Dr Gary Tennant for his editing assistance. I am not sure when this is going to get published at present and I am a bit too busy with the Grumpy Gnome's Garden to take on another project.

I have booked a canal holiday in June on board the 'Jolly Jasmine' for a week which I am really looking forward to. Holidays are perfect for writing books and I may start 'The Grumpy Gnome Goes to Egypt'. Or maybe I can just paint some pictures of the scenery along the way and write The Grumpy Gnome's Canal Adventure instead! Who knows.

I am working with a graphic artist (SJR Artwork & Design www.sararay.co.uk) to produce some mini book displays which will be placed with local farm shops and wildlife centres, hopefully that will generate a few more sales!

I took my granddaughter, Rosalie, to the Roald Dahl Museum in Great Missenden in Buckinghamshire. We had a lovely day. Please click here to see some photos.
